Michael Ammar
Michael Ammar was listed as one of "The Most Influential Magicians of the Twentieth Century." It's no wonder, as one of the most prolific authors and teachers of magic in the world, Michael's awards and achievements are unequalled.Michael became only the second American in the 45-year history of the event to win the Gold Medal for Close-Up Magic at the 15th World Congress of Magic (FISM) in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1982.  He has written several books on magic, and has appeared in several teaching videos and DVDs.

ammar Carroll Baker
Carroll Baker, an experienced restaurant performer is scheduled to perform and lecture at the 78th Annual Columbus Magi-Fest.  Carroll performs at five different restaurants each week, in addition to trade shows, and corporate engagements.  Carroll also teaches magic in several Central Ohio after-school programs.  In addition to performing in the close-up show, Carroll will present his restaurant performance lecture.
Joe Givan
Joe Givan
is a creator of original illusions. Honors for his innovative ideas and performing style include the World Championship of Close-up Magic at the 1988 FISM convention in Holland.

He is only the third person in history to receive the Gold Cups International Award of Excellence from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. A worldwide lecturer on the art of creating and performing illusion,

Joe has also written for many publications, and made numerous appearances on international television, including England’s “Best of Magic”, and “The World’s Supermagicians” in Tokyo.

 

josh jay Joshua Jay
Joshua Jay has performed and lectured in over 50 countries.  He is the author of two best-selling books on magic (his first is published in four languages), and has produced a series of top-selling instructional DVDs for magicians. He has claimed four international competition titles and several other major awards, and is a monthly columnist for MAGIC, the world's largest independent magazine for magicians.  Lance Burton said "this kid is going places".  Lennart Green says "He is the future of magic, and he scares me because he is so good"!  Josh will perform in the close-up show, and present his highly acclaimed lecture.
John Lovick (Handsome Jack)
Handsome Jack holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Washington in Seattle, and currently lives in Los Angeles. He is the Entertainment Director at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, where he is also a regular performer and has been nominated each of the last seven years as Parlour Magician of the Year.

He is the author of two critically-acclaimed books on the performance of sleight of hand, and an associate editor at MAGIC magazine, the world's premier periodical for magicians. He has lectured to magic organizations around the world on how magicians can add entertainment and humor to their shows.

John will perform in the Big-6 close-up show, the Saturday night All-Star show, and will lecture multiple times during the convention.

Mark Phillips
Since 1986, Mark Phillips has been one of America's busiest trade show magicians. His ability to combine the elements of corporate messaging and magic has led him around the world performing for such clients as MCI WorldCom, Freddie Mac, Computer Associates, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cunard Cruise Lines, and Nortel.
